14 eel Welcome to the 60th Convention Advocating for Recreation Since 1959 6T's is a great theme for celebrating 60 years, this is what the 6t's mean to me. Trails, key to our mission since from beginning, we work to keep access to trails through advocacy and on the ground trail work. Together, we work together and play together with old and new friends. Tradit ion, continuing what those before us built so we to become part of the tradition. Treasure our best treasure are our volunteers who make everything happen. Trustworthy, working honestly with our partners. Teach working with new off roaders at events all over the state. What do you think of when you think about the 6T's? This weekend we will share much about our history and look forward to the future of family four wheeling. Thank you for joining us for this special time. Welcome to the 2019 Convention celebrating 60 years of the California 4-Wheel Drive Association. WOW! How proud our founding clubs must be to have their dream grow and expand into the organization we have today. This year's Convention will be wheeling down the trail of Cal4, exploring and experiencing our 60 year history. A 60th Anniversary is diamonds. Our theme of 6T Years expounds on the diamonds of Cal4 with 6 "Ts": Trails ... Adopt-A-Trails and many more Together ... camaraderie, meetings, camping, etc. Tradition ... our history Treasure ... our events Trustworthy ... land use and legal actions Teach ... safety, education, trail responsibility and etiquette Cal4 has grown from the 10 original clubs into approximately 110 clubs, 1957 individual members, 26 corporate members, and 49 associate members. The annual meetings have outgrown restaurant gatherings to larger venues in order to accommodate our membership. The administration has expanded from a living room into our own office building with yard. All these accomplishments are the results of the hard work, dedication, and compassion of all of you ... the membership. The 2019 Convention hopes to showcase our Association as a whole ... a statewide team working together to keep our recreation alive and enjoying each other as family. Happy 60th. Let's do 60 more.
